- Receiving faulty Apple Device
- Customer sending faulty Apple Device in for repair at our service centers
- Diagnosis
- Identify the issue with the Apple device.
- Run diagnostics to pinpoint the problem.
- During diagnosis of the Apple Device, we will require password of the device to undergo tests to diagnose, detect and confirm the underlying issue. Without the password, we will not be as efficient and accurate in determining and pin-pointing the problem of the device.
- Repair:
- Order genuine Apple parts.
- Follow the repair manual for your specific model.
- Replace faulty components (e.g., display, battery, logic board).
- Post-Repair Testing
- Power on the device.
- Ensure all functions (touchscreen, camera, connectivity) work. (Without password to access to the device, we will not be able to conduct test on the rest of the components to ensure the functionality of the phone).
- Run software checks (e.g., system configuration) to complete the repair.
What Happens If We Don't Have Password During Repair
Unable To Identify Issue Precisely
Without the password, we are unable to confirm the issue of the device before the repair (Provided the device can still be turned on)
Unable To Conduct Tests
We will not be able to conduct tests to ensure that the device is performing at its peak (before and after repair process)
Unable To Confirm Other Problem
We are not able to confirm the problems of other components on the device (before and after repair)
Repeated Travels
Without the Password, You may be required to attend to the particular center to input your login password to perform a series of tests and to be put into the queue for repair.

In some cases, you really can't share the password. What can you do?

You can create an temporary account and name it after "KISSMYMAC" and set the password to something generic like 1234 to ease our repair process.
For iPhone
You may backup the iPhone to your Laptop / Macbook / iCloud entirely and reset the entire phone to ease our repair process.
For iPad
You may backup the iPad to your Laptop / Macbook / iCloud entirely and reset the entire phone to ease our repair process.

Get Your Mac Ready For Service
To save time and protect your information, complete as many of these steps as you can before your Mac is serviced.
1. Backup Your Device
Having a backup of your device constantly keeps you away from worry if the repair requires our technician to perform a device reset (reformat).
2. Turn Off “Find My Mac” or “FInd My Phone”
The repair process requires us to enroll the device into Apple Diagnostics system to perform diagnosis. Having those turned off at least an hour before coming in reduce the waiting time of the repair.
3. Arrange for Service
Prepare the device for service by booking an appointment with us. If you think the device contains extremely confidential information, kindly create an extra account for us or erase the device so that we can perform the repair job effectively.
