How do I know if my iPhone screen is genuine?
Go to Settings > General > About > Parts & Service History. A screen we replace shows as “Genuine Apple Part”. Since iOS 15.2, a non-genuine screen shows as “Unknown Part”.
How long does iPhone screen replacement take?
About 1 to 2 hours. We run Apple diagnostics before the repair (5 to 10 minutes), replace the screen and reseal it (30 to 45 minutes), then run Apple’s post-repair setup (10 to 15 minutes).
Which iPhones get a genuine Apple screen?
iPhone 11 and newer. For iPhone 6 to iPhone XS Max, Apple no longer supplies screens, so we fit a premium-quality screen and tell you before we start.
My iPhone has a green line on the screen. Can it be fixed?
Yes. A green or pink line means the OLED panel is damaged, usually after a drop. It tends to spread. A new screen fixes it.
Can I change a non-genuine screen to a genuine Apple screen?
Yes. Apple service centres usually won’t, but we can. Apple charges a surcharge when the old screen is non-genuine, and we tell you the amount before we start.
Will Face ID and True Tone still work?
Yes. A genuine Apple screen set up with Apple’s system keeps True Tone, Face ID and full brightness.
Do I need to back up or reset my iPhone?
No reset is needed and your data isn’t touched. Back up to iCloud first anyway, and know your Apple ID password because Find My has to be turned off for Apple’s checks.
Will my iPhone still be water resistant?
We reseal the screen with new Apple adhesive and press it with Apple’s machine, then pressure-test the seal.
Do you give a warranty on iPhone screens?
Yes, 6 months on the new screen against defects. Drops, pressure and liquid damage after the repair aren’t covered.
