For iMac 21-Inch and iMac 27-Inch that were manufactured in 2010 to 2011, The glass and the Screen is Separated. Hence, cracked glass can be replaced alone.
For iMac 21-inch, iMac 27-inch manufactured in 2012 and later, the Glass and the Display is embedded together which makes glass replacement impossible. The glass can only be replaced together with the screen as separating the glass from the screen is impossible.
