Apple has just announced a new series of iPhone 14 series, the iWatch Ultra, and AirPods Pro. What is interesting about the new iPhone 14 Series? There are jokes making fun of the iPhone 14 saying that besides the price increment, there aren’t many features that impress them or motivate them to upgrade their current iPhone 13 to iPhone 14.
iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max

The New iPhone 14 Pro Packs With A Number Of New Features:-
- An always-on display which doesn’t turn off when it’s not in use.
- Apple also introduced a new low-power mode to make the battery life last longer.
- It uses Apple’s latest A16 Bionic chip, which Apple says was built on a 4-nanometer process.
- A 48-megapixel camera thanks to a bigger sensor.
- Better low-light photography.
- Redesigned flash.
The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, has just introduced the high-end versions for this year, the iPhone 14 pro.
The model with a 6.1-inch display is known as the iPhone 14 Pro. The larger iPhone will be known as the iPhone 14 Max.
The iPhone 14 Pro will price starts from RM5,299, while the larger variant will cost RM5,799. This is the same price as models from last year. They are available for preorder on Friday and will ship the following week.
New “Dynamic Island” replaces the Fringe

These devices have a revised front design with a smaller cutout for the front-facing camera, resulting in a larger display. Apple refers to the cutout as a “dynamic island,” and it can display notifications and other system data, such as baseball scores.
Upgraded Camera with new Flash System

New Variation of Colours:
Apple launched the new iPhone with 5 different colors, adding Deep Purple to the new series of iPhone.
New Satellite Emergency Feature
Wednesday at its event, Apple confirmed a long-rumored capability to connect the iPhone 14 series to satellites for emergency services via a partnership with Globalstar.
The capability is designed to connect the antennas of an iPhone 14 directly to a satellite in order to deliver a message in locations without cell tower coverage.
Ashley Williams, Apple’s manager of satellite modelling and simulation, stated that a phone’s algorithm compresses text messages to a size that “takes less than 15 seconds to transfer” to a satellite, before relaying it to a ground station and an emergency service provider.
The emergency satellite service begins in November and is offered for two years free of charge with the purchase of an iPhone 14.
Globalstar stated in a filing that it will “allocate 85 percent of its current and future network capacity” to support the iPhone 14 emergency satellite service.
Satellite communications, which already have many networks that allow specialised, purpose-built phones, is entering a new phase of investment. Companies such as Elon Musk’s SpaceX and AST SpaceMobile have already announced agreements with mobile service providers with the aim of bringing satellite services straight to conventional consumer handsets.

Our Thoughts..
The iPhone 14 doesn’t have too much of a difference compared to an iPhone 13. It is a great new phone but there aren’t too many distinctions between the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 14 series besides the Display Island and the emergency SOS feature. If I were to upgrade my iPhone, I will go for the iPhone 13 since it is much cheaper when the iPhone 14 is released.
If my phone still lasts for another 1 year until the iPhone 15 launches, I will definitely go with it since it comes with a Type-C charger which is more convenient. I can charge my Macbook and iPhone together under the same charger! Bingo!
