iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Plus

In a world that is constantly evolving, where technology is advancing at an unprecedented rate, the release of the new iPhone 15 has sparked the market with anticipation and excitement. However, with the recent unveiling of the latest iPhone, we find ourselves in a unique position. Despite the hype and marketing buzz surrounding this latest iteration of Apple’s iconic iPhone, there are compelling reasons why we won’t be making the leap to the iPhone 15. In this article, we will delve into the five key factors that have led us to this decision.

1. iPhone 15 Overheats!

We have seen posts on social media with the a lot of new iPhone owners unboxing their brand new iPhone, iPhone reviews, etc. For those early birds who are lucky to get their hands on the latest iPhone 15, we have seen a number of users complaining that their iPhone overheats even watching youtube video. We’re not too sure what is causing the iPhone 15 to overheat yet (Awaiting Official Report or any iPhone Repairer’s dissertation of the iPhone). However, one thing for sure is that after using the iPhone 15 Pro for an hour of Youtube, we definitely notice there were some heat emitting from the back of the Apple famed iPhone 15.

We also saw a tweet from Ian Zelbo (From 9to5Mac and soon Tesla’s mobile developer) saying that

We are hoping Apple to fix the overheating issues in the later software update. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims the overheating issue is likely caused by compromises that were made in the new iPhone’s thermal design in order to “achieve a lighter weight.” For now, iPhone users will need to wait to see how Apple will address this.

2. Slow, Sluggish iOS 17

The iOS 17 isn’t really that great. People has been complaining about battery drain, performance issue (very slow and laggy). We also find that the iOS 17 doesn’t really work very well compared to iOS 16 launched on the iPhone 14. The response is slower on the new iPhone, animation isn’t that fluid though packed with Apple’s newly launched hexa-core Apple A17 Pro processor. We have also tested iOS 17 on iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro Max, we find significant decrease in performance as compared to iOS 16.

We have personally tested iOS 17 on the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, we feel that there is a slight delay In terms of app launching and also the animation. It does not feel as smooth as the previous iOS. But, we know that Apple will improve its performance through future updates. (We have faith in Apple for this)

This issue is likely related to the recently released iOS 17 rather than the iPhone 15 itself. Additionally, many apps have likely not yet released an update for iOS 17 or the new iPhone, so any degraded software experience will be rectified as soon as these updates are released.

3. Fingerprint-attracting chassis

As previously stated, the vast majority of the aforementioned issues can be resolved with a iOS update. But what about chassis-related issues? Users of the iPhone 15 / iPhone 15 Pro/ iPhone 15 Pro Max have reported that the new titanium body is also problematic.

First, it appears that grime, fingerprints, and other blemishes are significantly more prevalent on these new devices. Others have also reported blemishes and display alignment issues right out of the box.

Users who discover issues with the phone before removing it from the packaging should return or exchange it immediately. It is unknown how many users are affected, but it does not appear to be pervasive.

Based on personal experience, the moment we got the phone, we got a casing immediately. So we don’t find much blemishes or fingerprints over the phone.

The above are all personal opinion after experiencing the iPhone 15 with some evidence and feedback gathered across social media. We hope that it does not affect your decision in upgrading your iPhone to the latest iPhone.
